i managed to nail a job at Prudential as a financial consultant! yay! BUT, there's a catch. i'll have to sit through three examinations set by the Singapore College of Insurance and only after passing the three exams can i be contracted as a true financial consultant. and all this will happen in a span of 3 months. so my first full blown, fat and scrumptious paycheck will only be on January 2009 :(

but what the hell. at least i managed to get a job that pays well, right? must be grateful with what you get.

and yes, yes i'll be giving a treat to my friends ONCE i've settled down in my new job and have a stable savings plan...

now i need to buy new shirts, some new trousere, ties, leather belts... new shoes, some cufflinks, some status bags...

i just love pam ann, this british comedienne who makes fun of cabin attendants and their grouses. every single one from the aviation industry got parodied by her. from singapore airlines to the country's very own british airways. even smal players like easyjet got spoofed by her... watch her best offering so far, Pam Ann Global Alliance. she plays everyone from the staunch Russian to the super modelesque French to the giggly Singapore Girl. its really good stuff and you ought to watch her on youtube. but be warned no audience below 18 due to coarse language!

i watched les choristes yesterday on arts central. its about this very patient school teacher who got transferred to the orphanage, Fond de L'Etang. the students were taught discipline there with an iron fist, so they are actually very rebellious, especially one Pierre Morhange, an angelic face with the spite of the devil.

although very rebellious, Morhange came to become the solo soprano in the choir, illegally formed by the teacher, Mathieu. eventually they got so good, the orphanage's benefactresses managed to recommend the despicable principal for decoration from the board of educators. but he eventually did not manage to get the decoration as the orphanage got burnt down and Mathieu got fired.

its a really great and touching movie. its in french and the songs sung are all really touching and beautiful.

i really recommend this to the sentimental, those who love great music and the arty farty crowd.

please lemme get my position at HQSA! PLEASSE!!! PLLEEEEAAAAAASSSEEEEE!!!!!

while brosing through the net, i found these really interesting pictures. its actually from a Commissioning Parade at SAFTI MI. this is where the cadets are given their 2LT ranks. i thought, why not share it with everyone? its a really grand sight.This is the Officer Cadet School Tower. its the trademerk of SAFTI. see this tower and you know its at SAFTI straight away... its a really opulent sight, especially whne the sun is setting and the sky is a livid pinky orange, just like a Grapefruit Pavlova... drool...

i saw this arrangement at the Pan Pacific Hotel, inside Keyaki Restaurant. i highly recommend the restaurant if you enjoy japanese cuisine. its really good and fresh. and the ambience is awesome too...

love cool looking yet just as yummy coffee drinks... this foamy cappucinno has hot fudge, caramel and raspberry coulis weaved into the drink. end result is so heavenly lor!

i also loorve restaurants with eclectic designs, like this one at fairmont Singapore. its Jaan, a french restaurant with asian touches. its on the 70th storey, so another reason why i like this restaurant so much is... this ...
