its friday today and omg!! i'm flying off in like only like 6 days!! omg omg omg!! bye bye hot stinky singapore and hello cold and crisp Japan!! Chiba prefecture to be more precise!! haha! wooo!!
so happy!
actually chiba is just next to Tokyo, so you can actually just take the train down to tokyo for some shopping and the much needed R&R.
and tan wei is already in singapore! can't wait to meet him tomorrow. dunno how to contact him though! haha! he doesn't have a freaking phone. that's why lah. stay too long in the US and come back singapore only like once a year. he should just maintain a phone here for the minuscule amount of time he spends here every month.

hey hey! wassup peeps?? haha!
i went to this Korean Cultural concert yesterday called Seoul'd Out. The concert's divided into two parts. first part being the cultural Miso Dance troupe with their elegant and smooth traditional dances. really pretty and stuff like that. The second half is the ever growing Hallyu Wave!! We had acts from Mario, Lee Jisu, Brown Eyed Girls (OMG!!), FT Island (OMG OMG!!) and T Max (OMG OMG OMG!!!!)!!
Lee Hongki was just too skinny. he needs to eat more. like seriously. the Tmax guys are as usally hotness galores! haha! and Narsha and Gain looked super cute in person. Mirya looked super hot yesterday too!
The night went well yesterday, but i do have some wishes for next's year's Seoul'd Out concert, if there's any.
Have the concert at the Indoor Stadium.
The night was humid and warm. We started out seating on the grass all comfortable. When the MCs for the night came out, the crowd (mostly humans below the age of 17) surged forward. We, being the elderly there, had no choice but to stand up and surge forward with the crowd. The concert started at like 7pm plus and lasted till 11pm. 4 hours of standing among pre pubescent beings. That's worse than standing for 8hours in a roadshow with killa heels.
I also think the artists, being from countries cooler than Singapore, will greatly appreciate the air conditioning of the Indoor Stadium. And i think the humidity made them very thirsty too. Most of them are seen drinking from a bottle after every song.
Have more acts.
Mario sang like 4 songs, of which three were covers, Lee Jisu sang 5 or 6 songs. and the rest of the acts sang an average of 4 songs. there's just not enough big names. they should do a big one and bring in artists like KARA, Bada, U Kiss, Big Bang, 2PM, Mighty Mouth, In Sooni, 4 Minute and SNSD. Introducing these big players in the Kor-tainment scene will obviously bump up the price of the tickets up, which will then lead to my next point.....
Bump up the ticket prices.
$85 is reasonable. okay i admit its actually quite cheap. hence the abundance of GROUPIES. not that i don like them or anything. they add on to the atmosphere and the total experience. Some people (those above the age of 21) just would like to enjoy the live music and performance. So i think the'd appreciate tonnes if they were segregated away from the groupies lot. And i saw way too many below 17ners. Most of them are very, very young and i wonder where the hell they got the money for the tickets. If the ticket prices have a wider range of pricing and the seating areas are segregated, i think everyone will enjoy the concert better.
Example like $85 (groupies), $130 (interested people), $150 (quite hardcore fans) and $190 (hardcore fans). this way, i cab get segregated away from those noisy teeny boppers and enjoy the performance from my AIR CONDITIONED SEAT. Or if they wanna implement a 1 price for all, may i suggest charging $140 per entrant AT THE INDOOR STADIUM. i don't mind the price really, with such quality performances and singers.
In short, my suggestions aim to provide a comfortable entertainment arena where both the artists and biewers can enjoy. And to make the tickets as unaffordable as possible to those who are not working yet / smooching off their parents / groupies.
but all in all, it was a great concert and BROWN EYED GIRLS SARRANG HAEYO!!

hey everyone!! beautiful weather toda! its sunny but still windy, so its not very hot! anyway yesterday i watched Happy Flight with kai xin. it was really funny and cute! and the stewardesses are damn hot! too bad its ANA this time. I watched a similar series called Attention Please. But its a partnership with JAL. really funny too!
there's a report about JAL's failing business portfolio and a sudden panic when the Japanese government decided not to buy the corporation. The news sent ticket prices plummeting like crazy. And lucky me i bought the tickets during that period!! woohoo!! haha! bought 2 business class tickets at only $450 each (excluding airport taxes) and was over the moon when i got them! and the following week, those tickets arriving and departing within the same period cost like $4567 each!! i was sooooo lucky lah! hahaha!
anyway yeah, its like that! enjoyed the movie yesterday and enjoying my cheap like shit tickets too! haha!
oh also, kai xin cooked some kimchi soup for me too! really really yummy stuff! i should buy her the kimchi soup from Prudential Tower and let her try it out. that's super duper yummy!!

VOGUE Korea
in this post, we have some korean big shots posing as fairy tale characters in the december issue of VOGUE Korea. among the celebrities, we have G Dragon, In Sooni, Chae Yeon and Chae Si Ra. but i picked a few that i totally adored! so here ther are!!
And just in case you don't know who Anita Sarawak is, above are two of her pictures. Why i don't like her? here's why. Her hair's dyed platinum blonde. Her eyelashes are fake. her cheeks and lips are implanted. her nose is fake. she's had work done around her eyes and her boobs? non biodegradable girlfriend!!
Kim Seong Rye as Rapunzel. Just had a DIY dye job done and is off to the river to wash all that colour off. Must have weighed a ton huh?
Kim Min Hee and Lee Hyuk Soo as Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Someone give them something to eat please...
Korean Songstress In Sooni as Ursula from The Little Mermaid. she's my favourite singer. and people she's 50 y'all!! Anita Sarawak, eat shit girlfriend!!

if you wanna maintain your youthfulness, do it like In Sooni. even though she's already 50 and even though she's had some work done (i'm sure of it) she at least still looks healthy and suitable for her age. She still radiates and does not look to plastic like Anita.
I'm just sorry that some people go all out to defy nature. well for me, a nose job, eye work and some botox is fine. Actually any amount of plastic you wanna pump into your face is fine also. the important thing is YOU LOOK NATURAL. YOU LOOK NATURAL. YOU LOOK NATURAL. N.A.T.U.R.A.L.. Au Naturale. Semula Jadi. like that. you'll just look weird with a frozen face like anita or marcia cross. no matter how pretty you are, if you look plastic, well i'm sorry! you're just not human anymore!

bad news... i'm craving korean tofu soup from the stall at china square now. omg. had the most delicious tofu soup there. its kimchi based and they are generous with the kimchi (my favourite!!) and tofu. they give you like so much soup and very little, but enough, rice. i like it like that! i'll get to enjoy more of the soup and give a satisfied ahhhhh after finishing up the huge bowl of soup.
damn. i should go there again and get a fix of that soup asap.
but i don't think i can this month. dead broke. and i actually OWE the bank like $60! i went to the atm the other day to see how much i have left and i see an OVERDRAFT of like 60 smackaroons! i was like 'say whattt!!' urgh.....
its gonna be a long month for me...
oh and jansen invited me over to his house for his baby shower. ooo!! can't wait to see the baby! oh ya. must reconfirm the date again...

i'm now at orchard central!! saw the christmas light ups along orchard road today and am seriously not impressed. they look really cheap and distasteful. it looked like they recycled a fair bit of the decorations from previous years' christmas trinkets, if i can call them that. this year's theme looks like a fairytale christmas with all those oversized christmas blobs and metallic cylindrical thingys hanging from the huge trees along the streets. my favourit was when the hung humongous amounts of flickering LED bulbs over the streets, mimicking a twinkling night sky. it was totally beautiful and breathtaking. the lights stretched all the way from Tanglin shopping centre, which is near the botanical gardens to plaza singapura, which is after the Istana.
but as you know, the monsoon season is usually from november till february the following year in tropical singapore. and due to torrential rains and strong winds, a section of the lights crashed into the street underneath. luckily it happened in the wee hours of the morning, so no one was hurt. from that year onwards, extensive decorations hung freely over the streets was prohibited by law.
but pity, that was the most beautiful and stunning christmas decoration i have ever seen along orchard road.
but the malls' individual christmas decorations are actually not that bad this year, considering the financial turmoil that happened this year. Paragon did a great job with its giant towering christmas tree. and i can't wait for the new kids on the block to put up their christmas decorations. i'm sure their decorations will be just as stunning.

the other day i stumbled upon some local trash on the land of cable. its called Polo Boys. basically its about a group of hot sizzling men in tight trunks prancing around in the pool tossing and flailing around. oh, you know something? a hot blooded testosterone driven 'drama' is not complete without some hot chicks right? no matter how stiff their acting is, we need them! so they threw in the queen of all bimbotism, Claire Jedrek. i have a suggestion, why not you hire Ris Low to be like the hot lifeguard in her leopord preens and zeepbra preens bigini set? and no i did not mispell bikini.
i mean, what has local production got itself into?? they are producing like rubbish and trash that is unthinkable to nature and lovals themselves! like hello? S Factor? Singtel Grid Girls? My Little Nonya? and some other productions that i even forgot?? of not forgetting Phua Chu Kang SDN BHD??? with some lamo malaysian actors?? oh my goodness lah..
bring back home shopping and days of our lives back anytime PLEASE!! i think they are way more informative than these idiotic rubbish loads!
goodness me!
oh, did anyone remember Red Thread and that other local production that was launched slightly earlier than Red Thread? i know i don't.

oh oh! and you know that Essential shampoo from japanese giant KAO? the orange and pink ones? that even cares for the last 15cm of your hair?? i bought that too! and i love the smell and the texture of my hair after that! LOVE IT TO BITS!! i bought damage care and it smelt heavenly. smells like rich fresh cut guava fruits in a malibu boat! delicious even! and i'm sniffing my hai now! hahahaha! love love love it!
hey all!!! feeling much better now!! thank godness!! haha! anyway anyway, i dyed my hair! wee! its ash brown now. its not much different from my original colour, but i just wanna give it some shine and highlight. as you know, dark coloured hair can look dull and flat if not much care is given. ITS NOT THAT I'VE BEEN NEGLECTING MY HAIR OKAY! its just that i've been so called stressing my hair way too much.
i have naturally wavy hair. to take out that wave, i'll have to blow dry it in the mornings (if time permits) and then i'll use one of them Gatsby Moving Rubber wax. the purple one. and for those of you who have used this before, you'll just know how anal it is to wash the gunk off your hair completely. i'll usually will have to shampoo my hair twice before i feel its completely off. and the worse thing is i don't condition my hair after that. i have rather short hair so i don't find it necessary to condition my hair everyday. and i've been lazy in applying my sleep in repair serum from L'oreal for the past few weeks. its a bit frizzy and not as smooth as before.
So i bought this DIY dye from Watson's. its new so i thought i'd try it out. its called Liese Bubble Dye. i bought Ash Brown for two reasons. Firstly, i don't want a too drastic change as i just want to bring out the vibrancy of a nuance of highlight to the hair's original colour (sounds super cheem lah! haha!) and secondly, the model on the box looked so darn hawt! hahaha! so i bought that colour! hehe! i'll show you the box later. its so super cool! here's what you do!
firstly you mix the colouring into a bottle. it stinks (like all hair dyes do) so do it in a ventilated area. mix it gently and the solution will turn into foam! all you have to do is work that foam into your hair! its like shampooing your hair! and its DRIP FREE!!!
THAT'S THE BEST THING! DRIP FREE!! NO RUNS, NO STAINING OF THE SKIN. TOTALLY DRIP FREE!!
and the fun thing is it worked like a shampoo. so you know that your entire head is coloured as you feel the foam work into your scalp. After dyeing, you're suppossed to rinse the foam all off, then shampoo your hair clean. and they also have a LEAVE IN conditioner pack included inside for you. LEAVE IN! how cool is that! no rinse! my hair definitely felt better after that. it was super duper soft and shiny. and i love the colour! not that many people notice it because its too subtle. but i think it looks good with my slightly tanned skin.
Then i found out from Yutaki's blog that there's a blogshop selling these hair dyes, imported directly from Japan. and its called Prettia there. the name is so much cuter lah! hahaha! anyway here's the link for you guys to looky looky. http://cocktail83.wordpress.com/
Reasons why you should buy from Watsons THEN buy from the blogshop;
the Liese ones have their instructions in English, so you wont be fumbling with all the stuff in the box. Also, there are a few important pointers in there too which you have to look out.
Reasons why you should buy from the blogshop directly;
the ones sold in watson's (liese) cost like $19.90 per box. the Prettia ones cost $16 plus its free mailing!! how convenient is that?? and like economical???

was doing roadshow at prudential tower again today. omg!! the weather today is a killer lah! its super duper hot and humid!
From Raffles Place station, i'll have to walk like 15 minutes through a series of underpasses before i reach prutower. it was so bad lah! it was super crowded and to top it off, the air conditioning in the underpasses were super duper feeble and weak. speaking of feeble and weak air conditioners, the air conditioning in the MRT that i took earlier was also really crappy. it was so weak and to make matters worse, the train was jammed packed. super jammed pack lah!!
so the only acceptable air conditioning i received were in the stations only lor! so jia lat lei!!
feeling sooo tired now... standing so long just now. and the weather was super draining. i think i have a tan now...

so sad! my pricewaterhouse coopers guy postponed our appointment today till the 27th!! boo hoo!! but anyways anyways, hope he'll do something with me still!!
i learnt something new from him the other day. one can actually claim for tax deductible of up to $5000 per year. Tax deductible amount must be inclusive of CPF contributions. And to save on tax, one can actually put one's money in insurance!! on top of that, you'll get like all of your money back PLUS alot more in interest at the end of the term. so i think its a win win situation! you pay lesser tax and you've planned for your retirement! how about that!
on top of this, you can actually SAVE EVEN MORE in taxes by setting up a Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) account with an agent bank. with this supplementary savings, you can actually claim for up to $11 000 per year. that means, you can claim up to $16 000 total from tax! that's like a super whopper lah! BUT there's a catch for this SRS account. all the money that you put in can only be withdrawn when you are 62. early withdrawal will result in a penalty charge and the amount withdrawn will be taxable. scary sia...

you know what, i'm loving this roadshow at Prudential Tower lah! dunno why but i'm so full of vigour and excitement whenever its my shift to do the roadshow. then on days that i do not have anything on the roadshow, i'll be like so totally forlorn and sad! haha! i don't know why!
maybe its because of all these hot young guys in executive wear! its sooo sexy to see them all decked out in their finest in the morning rush hour! hahaha!
i'm being soo weird now.
anyway, it was the first time i took the train down to Raffles Place and it was like 8.30am in the morning. my goodness! the train station is jammed pack with people! its soo super duper crowded! and they are all moving in one direction. its like super duper crowded. i think if you bend down to tie your shoelaces, you'll be trampled to death! seriously! there wasn't any space to scratch your nose or head! all three escalators at the entrance we up riding too lah! none of them were heading down. super duper packed.
and i thought tokyo rush hour was mad!
but anyway i managed to reach the roadshow EARLY and IN ONE PIECE! but damn! it was a super duper hot day! by the time i reached the tower, i was already wet with sweat! haha! omg! 24 hours always sweating! i need to botox up my entire body!
anyway yeah that's about it for now; need to go to my auntie's house to get her signature for the GIRO authorisation form. oh and i am soooo dead broke now. so sad!
maybe its because of all these hot young guys in executive wear! its sooo sexy to see them all decked out in their finest in the morning rush hour! hahaha!
i'm being soo weird now.
anyway, it was the first time i took the train down to Raffles Place and it was like 8.30am in the morning. my goodness! the train station is jammed pack with people! its soo super duper crowded! and they are all moving in one direction. its like super duper crowded. i think if you bend down to tie your shoelaces, you'll be trampled to death! seriously! there wasn't any space to scratch your nose or head! all three escalators at the entrance we up riding too lah! none of them were heading down. super duper packed.
and i thought tokyo rush hour was mad!

so much drama in the past few days! its is sooo very the OMGness!! and its mainly because of that stupid grace incident. so tired of all this drama.
anyway currently i'm doing this roadshow at Prudential Tower at cecil st. its a free roadshow and i wasn't expecting much from it; knowing the CBD crowd and how they work. the walk super fast, eat super fast and work super duper fast lah. but i was lucky enough to get this guy who stopped and ask for tax savings for himself. kucky me!! and he's cute to boot! as a added bonus, he is from PriceWaterhouseCoopers!!! woohoo!!
i hope i can close the deal with him this thursday though!!! prays super hard!!!

last friday i had these snowskin mooncakes from Tung Lok and they were TO DIE FOR!! the box is so gorgeous too!! anyway these snowskin darlings are filled with mung bean paste with delicious nuggets of mango in them too. absolutely heavenly!! pity there was only two pieces on the happy hour spread. i ate 1 whole piece while my manager had the rest. i think she shared her portion with debbie and mag. haha! yum yum yums!!
anyway happy hour was okay lah... we had fried vermicelli, satay, wings and a few other dim sum items like samosas and spring rolls. that was the main dishes, at the dessert section, we had baked mooncakes from four hotels and snowskin mooncakes from Tung Lok. there was some malay kuehs and fresh mangoes and grapes. as for beverages, there's chinese tea, wine, beer and soft drinks.
OFFICE HAPPY HOUR IS A GODSEND!! love it to bits! (for the free food and alcohol! who cares about the mingling and new advisers!! muahahahahaha!!)
then on saturday i came back to the office to do some callings, but after attempting like four, i decided to hold back the callings till later. i called them at 12 pm and they said they are still working and wee rather busy. but when i started to do callings again at three, all the numbers i called were either not in service or were not answered. so sad! decided to close shop at 5pm!! so poor thing lah...
nothing much today, only i need to go for my fitting and accessory collection later at NGS.
Toodles for now!!

i watched this show on KBS yesterday evening. it was about animal cruelty in farms. it was such a eye opening show!! omg! i saw the cute little chicks being manhandled like some fluffy cupcakes and the condition of the egg laying hens being cramped up in small cages as big as an A4 paper, up to three birds in that small space. it was so poor thing!
i am so gonna switch to free range and organic chickens now!
and free korean channels are a godsend!! i love KBS and Arirang!!
ooo! speaking or arirang, i love the traditional song too! its such a sweet and beautiful song with 600 years of hictory in it! that is like super long lor! haha! its a romantic song about a man leaving his girlfriend of long. the girl still pines for him, and sang things like "if you walk away for more than ten paces from me, you'll limp, reminding you of me." really sappy things like that.
here's the video. its is also said the song actually symbolises not the love of two people, but the separation of north korea from the south. or should i say, the south from the north. enjoy the song! its really nice!

was at practice just now at the jap association and my God! the concert hall was damn sweltering!! the air conditioning broke down and the hall has extremely poor ventilation. i nearly died in there. i was preparing myself to go over to the hall this morning when yuki called me,
"where the hell are you?"
"at home. doesn't the practice starts at 11am?" it was 9.30 when i got the call.
"the practice starts at 8.30 on saturdays and sundays! get down here as soon as possible!"
i was like, "SAY WHAT??? girlfriend, don tell me what to do y'all! "
"whatever! just get down here quick! oh and dress as lightly as possible. the aircon's down"
so i wore a shirt and shorts. haha! looked really funny actually! like i woke up and straight went for practice! hahaha!
anyway, here i am now at office. with kenneth. he's typing out his paper on some motor insurance rubbish for his assignment. haha! its really cool how you can link almost ANYTHING to insurance!! hahahaha!
anyway, should i call corinne out for dinner later?? hrm.... wondering wondering...

really tired from all this 'dirty laundry' piling up at my feet.
1)
grace wanted me to pick up my momentum again and increase my production as much as possible. i've not been closing any cases for like two months now... and i feel really miserable as my pay is stagnating and its not increasing at all. so she set me a task to do; to get three case studies every week and to discuss it with her every friday. i've been doing canvassing like crazy these days and i still see no shit! what the hell is wrong with meee???
2)
then i have this roadshow thing on wednesday and friday. and i have to stand from 10am till 9pm, which is like TOTALLY hardcore. and you know what, i was wearing my pretty pedro shoes on wednesday for the roadshow and when i reached home, my heels were red and blistery! it was so darn painful! i soaked them in some dettol-ed warm water and went straight to bed. it was sooo much better in the morning. so i decided to wear my pedro shoes again. bad choice. my feet start to work up by two pm. they start to get all achey and sore. that's it. for tomorrow's roadshow i'm soo gonna wear my bata shoes. they are like way more comfortable (and uglier) than my lovely pedros.
Its hard being a financial whore.
3)
Oh My God. grace is on duty tomorrow!! i'm so gonna do some hardcore street prospecting lah! i'm so screwed tomorrow!!
but the good thing is, she wants me to pull in the prospects and get them to sit down. she will then do all the talking for me. she's like the bestest manager ever!!
4)
Lastly, i was roped in to perform in a chamber recital lah!! its so screwed up! there's me, another trombonist, two french horns and a trumpet for our stint. this isn't as bad as the orchestral one!! i'm solo oboe in the orchestra!! that is like super duper screwed up!! to make matters worse, chamber practices are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while orchestral practices are on the rest of the week. practice is from 5pm till 10pm and my god! it was so tiring! thankfully i was invited to play, so i could literally throw my weight around a bit! hehe! i told them i work irregular hours (which is SOO true! i start work at 1pm and end at 7pm you know!!) and i am extremely tired after a day of work (facebooking). so they compromised. since i am already quite adapt with the trombone, they let me off. BUT i have to come for orchestral practice on saturdays and sundays. and the practice hours on weekends are even more anal! it starts at 10am and end at 9pm!! how screwed up can you get??
but!! there's a glimmer of hope!! the recital is postponed indefinitely as they have some issues with the concert venue. its suppossed to be at the victoria concert hall. i think we're shifting to the esplanade... OMG!!! the esplanade has far superior acoustics!!! i'm so gonna get embarassed in front of the atas lot!! omg omg omg!!!
i sooo need my pay now....

came back home really late just now. reached home at like 5am in the morning. was suppossed to meet up with kenneth later in the day. morning call is suppossed to be at 11am. he messaged me at 10.30am. i was still drowsy from lack of sleep. i glanced at his msg and went back to zee zee land. i called him later at 11.45am.
met him at ang mo kio at 1pm and i was still in my zombie-ish state. went for lunch at the foodfare at ang mo kio hub. wasn't feeling really hungry (and lacking of appetite due to last night's activity, which i'd rather keep it away from you) so i got myself a drink. avocado milkshake. and it tasted like fuck. payed three fucking dollars for some fuck shit that even my mother can make it with both of her eyes closed. it was really screwed up lah.
anyway after that, we reached the office at 2pm plus. he needed to see his ommah for some case thingy. it stretched till like 5.30pm. and guess what? his tuition at cairnhill (which is just in fron of the office, maybe a ten minute walk) is at 4.30pm. he came out of the office all black faced and fuming. he said he had to postpone his tuition thingy by 1 hour.
anyway that's done, i'm actually now at toa payoh library, making full use of the air conditioning and free wireless network. better than chillin at mcdonalds, where you'll need a purchase to stay long. anyway i'm nice and cooled down now and i'm feeling preeetty hungry... feel like buying a sandwich from that bakery shop.

something funny happened at jurong point today. while i was in the train at chinese garden station, he smsed me saying "OMG this is so screwed. meet at sweetalk later".so i bought the drinks and waited by the shop till he came. at first i didn't suspect anything. saw him as his normal self wearing berms and a t shirt. then while walking he said, "You know what, i forgot to bring the survey paper lah!" (ps we were suppossed to be doing canvassing at jurong point). i offered him some paper of mine and i realised "oh, you're wearinhg berms." so, just like that today's activity was cancelled.
anyway, the evening was not wasted. first he wanted to get this hardcore file. i wasn't sure what he meant at first. after much description, i realised he meant the folder thingy with fasteners on the side. its like a plastic tupperware book where you'll have to open it and place your loose sheets of papers into it. it was like an amazing race thingy to look for the hardcore file. we first went to Harris, then to this crappy shop called Japan Home (i think). both of them did not carry it. we decided to go to the Fairprice Extra to look for it but before we could find the supermarket, we stumbled upon .... jeng jeng jeng!! POPULAR!! we went inside and started our manhunt. it was so difficult lah to find that god foresaken folder thing. and finally, he found it! yay! finally! but the queue for the cashier's was like a queue for a major bank. it snaked all the way to the back of the cashier's lah! it was terribly hardcore!! hahaha!
anyway, after paying for the stuff, we headed to find this shop called Spectacle Hut. Jurong Point was a total nightmare for Jurong Novices like us. it snakes round and round and round! its really terrible! we combed the basement first. the entire basement! then we headed to the ground floor and and searched again. the entire level lah! then we headed to the second level and we were about to go up to the third level when kenneth spotted this small opening to the side of the mall. we walked there and voila! there was spectacle hut! but right at the end of the wing. i mean really, really far in.
in the shop, we went around looking for glasses. he needed a change of glasses badly and i am just bored with my current pair. i found this really cute pair! its plastic and full framed. looked really like those korean stars are currently wearing. but the bad thing is the frame costs $200 plus. that means with the lenses, they would have costed like $280 for me. that's a little too expensive for me. nbut i love the frames to bits! they look really cool!! i think i'll look for a similar pair somewhere cheaper... oh anyway kenneth found two frames that he liked, but thewould have costed like $170 after discount AND the $40 voucher. that's like super pricey lah. some more the frames weren't that fantastic; i prefered his old frames to the new ones he selected. we didn't buy anything from the shop eventually.
after the spectacle debacle, we decided to head out to eat. i decided on kopitiam. but when we reached the second floor, guess what? IT WAS CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS LAH!! craps of the world!! so we decided to go to this makan place called Feast on the third floor. its like a makan place filled with mid priced stalls. they have a korean restaurant, ajisen ramen and an indonesian restaurant there. we first stopped by the indonesian restaurant. we decided to look at the dishes first and i remarked,"The dishes looked scary." by that i meant the dishes looked rather spicy. we then moved on to the korean restaurant. the girl by the door kept talking to me in chinese. i just ignored her, thinking kenneth was listening to her. she continued to talk to me and i kept ignoring her, still thinking kenneth is listening to her. we eventually decided to not eat at all as i was not feeling that hungry and i can probably tahan till i reach home. while walking out, kenneth gave me a pep talk saying i was rude to them just now and that i should check myself before i do anything to embarrass them. he also said something of retribution, which i happen to sooo believe in now!! i feel so bad after all that!!
TO THE KOREAN RESTAURANT GIRL AND THE INDONESIAN RESTAURANT GUY AT FEAST AT JURONG POINT, I'M SORRY I WAS RUDE TO YOU! i did not mean to be rude but i was unaware that what i said may unintentionally hurt your feelings. i'm truely and deeply sorry for whatever i have said to you and i promise to not be as loud in the future as how i am now.
guess that's all for tonight. going to watch some Nodame Cantabile now. ciao ciao!!

anyway i am at coffee bean at orchard central now. the connection at work sucked big time. its lie disconnecting every minute and reconnecting to another wireless network. its damn screwed up lah. wireless@sg is sooooo much better. OMG! anyway yeah, intended to stay here longer till 7 maybe but we decided to do canvassing at jurong point instead. so yeah, productivity to wireless access.....
anyway anyway, i tried coffee bean's new ice blended drink, the Nutty Delight Ice Blended. its an ice blend with pistachio nuts. initially it tasted ok, then slowly, the ice blend resembled some ice slushie thing and tasted soo bad. BUT I FINISHED IT ANYWAY! pistachios i hearts! i think the barista didn't add enough milk. stupid fat bitch. dunno how to make drinks ah? knn!
anyway, that's all for now! need to go to jurong point by 6pm!!!!
toodles!

feeling much better than yesterday. i felt ok by like 5pm. so no worries people! anyway anyway, why am i blogging this early? its becausseeee, i woke up early to watch the Miss Universe 2009 pageant!! but let me tell you something, it was sooooo screwed up! okay,40% of my prediction came true; that Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic and Venezuela will be in the top 15. but still!! its like the pageant this year is like for the european union and the americas.
but where are the hot asian favourites?? like vietnam or indonesia or even turkey?? it was really disappointing lah. dunno what to say lah... i'll upload some pictures of the winner later.. well at least venezuela won, not that skanky and disgusting albanian bitch. she looked like she could eat ten men! eww!!

oh my god... its the great hangover... i'm still feeling all giddy from yesterday. okay, here's what happened yesterday night.
met him up at newton at six pm. passed him the bottles of vodkas and he exclaimed "what the fuck sia. my arm will break sia" haha so funny! we were suppossed to meet jerry up for dinner, but he has to go back because his grandmother passed away. we were terribly hungry so we made a pit stop at tiong bahru (bad choice) to eat at a kfc there. okay i had the cheesy melts set and he had the zinger meal. here's what we got.
for my meal, the cover of the drink was missing, my cheesy melts was cut up irregularly and the filling was very sparse.
for his meal, the shreds of lettuce in the burger was terribly off coloured. i should have soo taken a picture of it and post it here. it was like all mushy and brown and soggy. its like what kenneth said," the veggies went for war and came back. it was all battered up." it was really really grossed. i wanted to ask the restaurant manager for an explanation but he said its ok and scrapped the disgustation bits off the bun and started to munch. oh and his coleslaw was missing from his set too.
to top it all off, it took him like 30 minutes to get to the head of the line to order the food. only two counters were opened.
so guys, DON'T PATRONISE THE KFC AT TIONG BAHRU PLAZA Y'ALL HEAR?? THEY SERVE CRAP SHIT THERE..
anyway we made our way back to hostel after buying some snacks from fairprice. we reached the hostel at like around 8pm plus.
we had the wine first. it tasted really really mild and smooth. we finished half of the bottle and decided we're game for something better. our first drink was a double screwdriver. and that was when the funstarted! hahahahahaha! you should seriously be there lah! it was really funny! kenneth was all doopy and funny when he's really 'se'. hahahaha! it was really really funny lah! we were hungry by 11pm and kenneth suddenly had a craving for prawn me. he's the most lousiest NTU guide around! he doesn't even know where is the 24 hour supermart. what a loser!!
but it was a really fun night and i think he's the best drinking buddy i ever had, even though its just like only me and him. i left his place at 2am.
oh and i owe him $10 for goodnese sake.
met him up at newton at six pm. passed him the bottles of vodkas and he exclaimed "what the fuck sia. my arm will break sia" haha so funny! we were suppossed to meet jerry up for dinner, but he has to go back because his grandmother passed away. we were terribly hungry so we made a pit stop at tiong bahru (bad choice) to eat at a kfc there. okay i had the cheesy melts set and he had the zinger meal. here's what we got.
for my meal, the cover of the drink was missing, my cheesy melts was cut up irregularly and the filling was very sparse.
for his meal, the shreds of lettuce in the burger was terribly off coloured. i should have soo taken a picture of it and post it here. it was like all mushy and brown and soggy. its like what kenneth said," the veggies went for war and came back. it was all battered up." it was really really grossed. i wanted to ask the restaurant manager for an explanation but he said its ok and scrapped the disgustation bits off the bun and started to munch. oh and his coleslaw was missing from his set too.
to top it all off, it took him like 30 minutes to get to the head of the line to order the food. only two counters were opened.

went to drink at hostel again. before that we had dinner at the kfc outlet at tiong bahru plaza.
ladies and gents, the kfc outlet there is like fuck!! kenneth ordered a zinger meal at a student's rate while he ordered mine at a kanina normal inflatedly horrendous price of $6+++. the server was like fuck and the service was inconsistent.
bought some marie biscuits

watched a show recommended by kenneth. one litre of tears (1`リットルの涙) or ichi rittoru no namida. its a really sad show about this 15 year old girl who has this disease and slowly will not be able to do daily necessities like writing and walking. its a really sad show. i watched only till the 2nd episode and its like so poor thing lor!
oh and an added bonus; the doctor is hot!!

while surfing the web today, i came upon the jewel in the palace OST. just found out that the title of the song is Onara. its actually the clip below. jewel in the palace was my first dose of korean drama and i loved every bit of it. its dramatic without being too sappy, romantic without being to cloyingly sweet and entertaining without being too informative. i especially love the cooking parts and how they served it to the king and queen.
i now officially have a dire craving for korean food. need to go out and buy more kimchi.
anyway, here's another video of onara. this time its sung by Kim Yeon Ja. she's a korean who sings japanese enka. i don't like the way she sings enka. in this video, i think her singing is still very brutal and tragic, but i love the green gown and the way she moved. so graceful and poise, just like a gisaeng..

left his place at 10.30pm and reached home at like 12.10am... his place was really hardcore! as in the place and location and all. it was the uluest place in singapore! anyway, tonight was rather fun! it was really funny and yeah, th ebill worked out to like $15 per person. we had a bottle trigrape red wine and a bottle of really cheap and skankily sweet merlot (kenneth's choice!!) that tasted more of ribena than decent wine.
anyway i'm just too tired to blog. wanna go sleep. dunno if i wanna go to the office tomorrow. really tired and pissed at work.
oh yeah, i'll be posting a probable future of the Mass Rapid Transit lines in singapore. i't sooooo gonna be a nightmare in the future!!

i have two appointments just now!! wee!! met up with isnita to pass her her policies for her two daughters. FINALLY managed to meet up with her! phew!they had this army half marathon thingy in the morning, so yeah she was able to meet up with me easily. her appointment was a quick one. left at around 11.45am and headed straight for office as i am meeting another friend later.
met regina at 2.30pm and chatted with her about her policy. she wanted a savings plan. i proposed an investment linked plan and a traditional plan. she wasn't convinced that the savings plan could help her reap higher returns as compared to a conservative traditional approach. so she stuck to the traditional endowment plan. her budget at first was $100. then her boyfriend proposed that they share a policy and contribute $200 each. so my production will be $4800++!!! woohoo!!
but i was worried that regina could not sustain the premium payments. we calculated together and realised that she'll be getting only like $600 surplus to spend every month. that's kinda little for a girl.
but anyway, she agreed to settle all of the paper work first and will proceed with the payment in late september. so i'll be getting my commission only in like early october.
yay!! no more eggs in my production!! woohoo!!

today was the last day of the god damned roadshow!! yay!! thank god this bullshit is sooo over! anyway, anyway, i am reporting LIVE from The Coffee Bean at Ang Mo Kio hub!! i can't go home now because i just had an office happy hour just now and drank quite a fair bit of alcohol. so i probably reek now. this happy hour isn't as bad as the previous one; we had champagne, sangria, red wine and some orange punch. the food was way better than the previous one too! so yeah its way better than the previous one lah! anyway, ju kim performed for us too! she danced to mickey by lola!! her dance was really, really disturbing. so much so that my eyes popped out of its sockets and i had to be on all fours to search for them! she danced throughout the entire song too, which was like a good four minutes plus lah! she has no dignity, that woman!
anyway anyway, back to the main purpose of this blog; to detail my past day as explicitly as possible. okay, here goes.
reached science park II in the morning at 11.15am. mag was going mad there because she had to set the booth up all by herself. thank god we weren't very late. so we helped her set the booth up and were done 15 minutes later. i then had my brunch at 11.50 am ish. i had a smashing caesar salad with tuna and an iced long black coffee at olio dome. really, really yummy and the chef was really generous with the flakes of tuna. they had really god scones too, tough i didn't had them for brekkie just now. i had the scones for afternoon tea with an iced long black coffee. it was really really nice. the scones weren't plain; they had swirls of strawberry jam in it. it was really really good with some real and proper butter. it would be absolutely smashing with some hot english tea. Orange Jaipur would be a real treat! yummy!
tricia came late so i accompanied her for lunch along with mag at 2pm. by then mag had cooled down and was back to her chirpy and talkative self. i had a slice of papaya and some deceptively sweet papaya juice. i think the drinks auntie added some sugar into the juice. but anyway it was really yummy and value for money.
the crowds were relatively better compared to the previous days. but i didn't managed to get anyone to sit down for the free medical check up. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? Prudential is offering free medical check ups for your blood pressure and BMI and yet nobody wants to get it checked!?! I mean come on lah singapore, its for your own good. even if you don't wanna buy any insurance after the check, its up to you! we won't pressure you to buy any!!
i then went to meet kenneth up at boon lay. went back to office together. we reached there at 5pm! just nice! the office happy hour has just started! yay! anyway it was really fun and funny! ju kim dancing! mag and grace getting all flushed! mag was exceptionally rosy! as red as a grilled prawn! and she blabbered so much! much more than when she was not tipsy. it was really cute to see them all red! haha!
left office at like 7.40 thereabouts. really sleepy now lah. anyway i'll be going back to the office tomorrow. meeting lynn up to pass to her her mom's Tangs Privileage Card.
i think that's all for now. toodles and goodnight!
ps: don't forget to catch Miss Universe 2009 on the 23rd!! hearts hearts!!

Deliver Me
a really beautiful song. it was actually a song about romance and how one pine and long for one's love. somehow the lyrics were apt for a save the earth theme. so sarah brightman did an eco themed song. that's why sometines the lyrics do not fit the theme well.
the roadshow was just as bad today as it was yesterday. alan was the manager on duty and magdalene was there as well. it was really slow lah. i'd rather do canvassing on the streets to doing this crappy bullshit. i can't wait to start going back to street canvassing.
today was day one of the Don't Start! day!!! its a day i started to prevent myself from committing the same mistake again. me going to meet up with some friends from JAL for some hardcore drinking!!! its only once in a year do my friends from JAL are able to fly to singapore from japan! woohoo!!!
anyway, that's all i think for today. and oh yeah, office happy hour is this friday! can't wait for it!
love you all!

feel really frustrated with myself. i just don't have the confidence to do canvassing myself. and everyone whom i hooked up to do canvassing with are always too busy with something else. why can't i just do it alone??? everyone seemed to be doing some other thing and everytime i asked them they are always not free.
kenneth is doing his bachelor now. so he's kinda tied up at school. although his school ends at 1 on most days, he's just too lazy to do canvassing with me. i even offered to travel all the way to Boon Lay to do it there (for your information, i stay in Ang Mo Kio, the office is at Newton and NTU is at Pioneer). and the reply he gave me just now? Too lazy to do canvassing. i understand insurance is not going to be his main source of income in the latter years after he got his Bachelor. at least you can accompany me for an hour or two while i do the canvassing. i just need someone to chat to. i just need a pillar to lean on when i'm drained emotionally and mentally.
i understand he has school and all. i'm just really pissed with myself lah. aiyoh. very ma fan lah.

today was my first day for the compulsory roadshow thingy. mine is at science park at Bueno Vista. freaking far from my home / office lah!! what the fuck! and it was so unproductive lah!! so boring and so little people walked past me. it was like a really lousy roadshow lor. thank god the cost was only like $50 for four days. damn freaking cheap for a roadshow (cheapest ever, i think). now i'm contemplating if i should go for the next three days lor. so many agents but so little prospects. i'd rather do it at toa payoh lah!
anyway, i got an appointment with a friend just now! she liked the policy i proposed to her and i'm so happy. but the problem is with the premium payment lor. she has very little money to spare and the premiums you'll have to pay is like 2 months in advance. so the total she has to pay for the first time is like around $288++... which is like a substantial amount for a person part timing and earning like $600 on average. but the important thing is she really liked the plan and how it works! only thing is when can i close her! boohoo so sad...
guess my pay will be like nuts this coming round lor.
but anyway, if you don't know, we agents get our pay twice a month. once on the 10th and another time on the 24th. so last month, i got $550 on the 10th and like $60 on the 24th!! really sad story lah! sekali this coming 24th i get zero moolah! will confirm die one lah! oh man! i'd better start doing intensive canvassing now!!! die ah die ah!

after kenneth came by at coffee bean, we headed out for lunch. he wanted to leave by three pm just now because he wanted to pack his stuff up (he's moving house from his house at Florissa Park to an apartment at Braddell Hill). so we had lunch at this new pasar market thingy near This Fashion and Jubilee Entertainment Centre. he had an incredibly light lunch of cheesy mayonnaise fries. i was totally shocked lah!
anyway, after the lunch, we headed back to to the Town Square and kenneth went to cut his hair while i made my way to the mcdonalds' (air conditioning and free internet broadband!!) chatted with kai xin for a while about the class reunion picnic / barbecue / tunch and before i knew it, he's back from his haircut! it was really fast! like only 15 minutes. usually i'd have to wait like 15 minutes for my turn and another 20 to 35 minutes for the jie jie to do her works.
and yeah. we left after that. it was three pm thereabouts. i wanted to help kenneth with the packing, but he insisted that he'd be fine with it himself (rolls eyes) and that he does not need my help. so i went back to PruCafe and resumed by slacking and slugging there. didn't want to go home too early as the "Battlefield Is Not Cleared Of Corpses". so i stayed there till 6pm. irang kenneth up to see how things are and guess who picked up the call? Moo Moo! he was asleep! but good thing he packed his stuff for the hostel. so at least something got done. i quickly left the office after that to head to my next destination, Bishan. i was suppossed to meet david there.
i waited for him for like two hours before he came to fetch me lah! but not bad! he changed his car. it was a hyundai before. now he's driving a bmw. not bad for a mid age dude! we had dinner and some coffee at coffee bean and left junction 8 at 10pm plus. david proposed i stayed overnight at his place as his parents are on an overseas trip and "he's kinda lonely at home all alone". so i tagged along and here i am reporting to you live from david's room in his pyjama on his bed. i think i'll go back home on tuesday evening...
i think that's all for today. goodnight and stay beautiful singapore!

here i am reporting live from Coffee Bean at ang mo kio hub!! waiting for kenneth now now now!!!
anyway, anyway, i was flying my two kites yesterday lah! if you remembered, regina defaulted on our appointment because she needed to do some over time. then when i called isnita, she said we could meet up but she doesn't want to carry any bulky files with her tonight. she's probably going clubbing later. so yeah. both of my appointments defaulted and so i went to marina barrage to fly my kites! haha!
enough of the funnies, yesterday evening while having dinner, kenneth and i met up with jerry. we went back to jerry's place and had some tapas and 2 bottles of wines. left his place at like around 11.45pm. when i reach home, my mom smelt the alcohol and went ballistic lah! when she went to bed later, i could hear her crying in her sleep lah...
i feel so crappy now...
kenneth is being such a sweetie... sigh...

Miss Universe 2009 MY PICKS
hello people! here are some of the contestants! i picked them because i think they have the potential to go far in the pageant and they look really, really good.. these are just my picks and its not the finalised results. it'll be shown LIVE on the 23rd August 2009! so catch it then for the final results and the Winner!!
This is Miss Vietnam. she looks way better than the previous year's entry and let's just hope she speaks better than the previous year's as well.
Miss Venezuela!! She's one of my favourites. Venezuelans always produce goddesses for the pageants.
Miss Turkey. She looks really fresh and vibrant.
Miss Singapore. Damn those jugs!
Miss Panama. She looks really pretty and flirty with that pose. i think she has the potential.
Miss Jamaica
Miss Indonesia. Mis Indonesia has always been very, very pretty. its just that they've not been getting enough exposure from the media.
Miss Guatemala. she looks really really pretty and a toned down version of Miss Venezuela. Not too sexy.
Miss Curacao. Really sexy and love the face! very well defined and sharp!
Miss Belgium. looks like a winner to me!!
Among the girls whom i picked, i'd like to see Vietnam, Singapore, Turkey, Venezuela and Belgium to be in the Top 5. Hope my dreams do come true!!!
